Objective
New York Times bestselling author Gena Showalter hosted a virtual signing to celebrate the release of her newest book, "The Darkest Touch". Unlike a traditional in-store book signing, fans from all over the world were able to attend this online thanks to Shindig.
Strategy
Gena took advantage of her wide reaching social media audience to invite fans from all over the world to her virtual book signing. Gena tweeted out an RSVP link to her 30k+ Twitter followers and also promoted the event in an email newsletter.
Results
Dozens of fans showed up for the virtual book signing and were able to discuss their favorite Gena Showalter novels with one another thanks to Shindig's private video chat functionality. After a spirited Q&A session with the audience, Gena closed the event by offering a sneak preview of her upcoming work and showed two video trailers.
