Horn and Julia Freeland Fisher of the Christensen Institute aimed to engage their audience i an interactive discussion based around Julia's new book Who You Know: Unlocking Innovations That Expand Students’ Networks, explore the latest tools, data, and real-world examples that schools can harness to transform into hubs of next-generation learning and connecting.
Strategy
Michael and Julia interactive with a live virtual audience from the convenience of their home or office via the Shindig platform allowing online participants to tune in and engage in the discussion from anywhere using a computer, tablet, or mobile device. Throughout the talk, the two took questions from the virtual audience and answered online questions from remote participants face-to-face via video chat.
Results
As thought leaders in online education, CCI understands the power of synchronous offerings and used there Shindig to reach a more remote audience all while providing an opportunity for its community to network, share ideas and collaborate virtually just as if they were attending an in person event.
