Faced with concern that COVID would dampen enthusiasm for the upcoming in person event, the American Association of Political Consultants hosted a pre-conference event to energize word-of-mouth and build confidence that all who had RSVP'd were still going to attend. They also took advantage of the virtual occassion to provide additional sponsor value.
Objective
Boost excitement for up coming Las Vegas conference with a pre-event poker party allowing prospective attendees to confirm attendence of other important players despite the COVID uncertantiy.
Strategy
Use Shindig's capacity to hold multiple, simultaneous sessions where attendes can connect in small groups through video chat allowing for players to enter and exit games and network individually.
Results
The Pre-Pollies 21 Happy Hour: Winning in Las Vegas! event successfully captured the attention and excitement of attendees and boosted confidence for the full experience despite COVID uncertainty.
