In celebration of the release of INFLUENCER: Building Your Brand in the Age of Social Media, Brittany Hennessy, author and Senior Director of Influencer Strategy & Talent Partnerships for Hearst Digital Media, hosted an online Q&A to compliment her Barnes & Noble Union Square Influencer Panel discussion featuring Teni Panosian, Heidi Nazarudin, Sai DeSilva, and Jeanne Grey.
An external camera broadcasted the in-store panel discussion onto the Shindig platform allowing online participants to tune in and engage with the live panel discussion from anywhere using a computer, tablet, or mobile device. Throughout the talk, the influencer panel took questions from the in-store audience and answered online questions from remote participants face-to-face via video chat.
Being a digital media thought leader, Hennessy understands the power of live online engagement and therefore used Shindig to exponentially increase event attendance. Integrating the online audience allowed for the panel's reach to expand far past a location-based event; inspiring, educating, and connecting countless more readers and fans.
