Harvard GSE Panel Brought to Educators in the Field with Full Interactivity
On October 20, the Harvard Graduate School of Education (GSE) panel hosted a discussion on Immersive Learning Environments. Participation included in-person attendees from the 2014 Education Technology Showcase as well as an online audience that was enabled with the ability to interact with the panel. By virtue of Shindig’s Monitor mode, online participants were able to be brought up to the stage and ask questions before both the in-person and online audience.
The panel featured Professor Chris Dede (faculty moderator), Professor Simos Retalis (University of Piraeus), Professor Eric Klopfer (MIT) and JR Magee (Cisco Systems, Inc.). Partnering with Shindig, Harvard GSE was able to extend its programmatic reach beyond the in-person audience to over five times as many online participants.
