Maine DOE Signs on with Shindig for Education Pilot Program
For the remainder of the school year, the Maine DOE will utilize Shindig for online K-12 teaching, professional development for teachers and administrators and connecting groups of educators across the state.
Shindig is a comprehensive educational tool that supports natural interactions between teachers and their students. Instructors can broadcast and administer classes that range in size anywhere from 10s to 1000s, monitor the level of engagement and restrict classroom conversations. With Shindig, educators also have the ability to share their screen, spotlight participants and much more. In addition, Shindig adds a unique social dimension to events by allowing participants to interact with one another in private video chats or in small groups assigned by the teacher.
