PBS hosted one of their biggest annual events, The PBS Digital Innovators Program, on Shindig. The event recognizes top educators from around the country, while giving them the ability to connect and work with their local PBS station representatives to develop and implement community programs.

PBS hosted one of their biggest annual events, The PBS Digital Innovators Program, on Shindig. The event recognizes top educators from around the country, while giving them the ability to connect and work with their local PBS station representatives to develop and implement community programs.

The event was designed in two parts; The first part consisted of the group doing an overview of the Virtual Professional Learning Series (VPLS) and in the second half hosts activated break off groups to discuss the presentation and strategize how to reach each goal.

80 participants attended the virtual conference and left with a clear idea of PBS's objectives, several plans of action, and an energized state of mind. PBS was able to host a successful virtual event using Shindig's interactive features to broadcast speakers, present decks, field text and video chat questions, create social learning groups, and bring audience members on stage.
