YouTube Gamer NoughtPointFourLIVE Hosts 5-Part Series on Shindig
Popular YouTube gamer NoughtPointFourLive wanted a more engaging way to interact with his 500,000 subscribers aside from social media. In response, Nought (real name Fred) hosted a 5-part series on Shindig in which he performed activities such as livestreaming himself playing GTA V and hosting a game show-style quiz.
Fred shared the URL for his impromptu Shindigs on YouTube just an hour before each event began. During these “can’t miss” events, Nought gave away codes for GTA V unlockable items and even awarded cash prizes for winners of his Quiz Night.
The community built around Nought’s YouTube channel was able to interact face-to-face with each other as well as their video game idol. With very limited promotional tactics, over 500 fans attended.
